Since our candles are made from only the finest natural waxes, wicks and oils, you will find that it may burn differently than other candles. to avoid an uneven burn, we recommend that you burn the larger container candles until there is a full melt pool on your first lighting of it. That usually means burning it at least 4 hours on the first burn to avoid "tunneling" (when the candle burns down the center only and leaves a ring of wax).

When burning a votive candle, you can get the maximum burn time by only using a tight fitting, v-shapes holder. This insures that your votive will burn more evenly.

Cotton wicks are not as sturdy so always trim and adjust the wick to the center of the candle before lighting.

candle tip of the month

If you happen to have some left over candle wax left in your holder you can:

*Easily wash it out with a little bit of soap and water. send to us for a refill or re-use for a decorative bath salts or beads holder!

*Scoop any left over and add to a potpourri pot or oil burner. You will amazed how far your left over candle wax will go and it will fill up your room.

*Although, a few of our candles contain essential oils that may be irritating to the skin (visit Natures Gift for information on essential oils and which ones are known skin irritants) you can scoop the remaining wax into a tin or plastic container and use as a hand moisturizer. I use this all of the time and it works wonderfully!
